What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a form of complementary therapy that utilises the power of positive suggestion to bring about subconscious change to our thoughts, feelings, and behaviour. The process itself aims to alter our state of consciousness in a way that relaxes the conscious part of the mind while simultaneously stimulating and focussing the subconscious part. In layman’s terms, you get to be comfortable in a reclining chair whilst I talk to you in a calming voice. By unlocking your subconscious, we can explore deeper issues and help stimulate new ways of dealing with the subject at hand. Different talking techniques can be utilised.
What happens in a hypnotherapy session?
After your initial consultation, a personalised plan would have been written for you based on your specific needs and issues. When you arrive at the studio (I will always meet you at reception) and we have talked about the weather and possibly enjoyed a coffee, I will describe to you the plan for the session. There are many different techniques under the umbrella of hypnotherapy. When you are ready, I will ask you to get comfortable in my reclining chair and close your eyes. I will then begin talking to you in a relaxed and focused way before performing the therapies that we talked about.
After the enjoyable session, I will go through the plan with you again on a conscious level and tell you why I chose the specific techniques and how they will help you moving forward. After your first session I will guide you how to perform self-hypnosis at home if you wish. You will feel like you have had a little snooze or Nap but you will leave the studio feeling calm and rejuvenated and looking forward to feeling more positive.
Self – hypnosis tuition is provided at the end of your first session if required. This is a technique which will help you in all aspects of your life and is something you can use after your sessions with David have finished.

This is a 4 session package. After your initial consultation, we meet every two weeks. The first hypnotherapy session mainly involves the fitting of your hypnotic gastric band but we also work on motivation and willpower techniques. The middle two sessions are personalised to your individual needs. Your final visit provides you with all you need to stay on track as by this point you would have lost a healthy amount of weight.

This maybe directly from a parent, something you have witnessed or an event that you have been involved in. There are many ways to help you delete these emotions, but all of these issues can be reversed.
Nobody is born afraid of spiders, heights or even clowns! Nobody is born with a dislike of water, flying or even cotton wool!
Together we can quash these anxious feelings through hypnosis and look ahead to a less stressful life and maybe achieve something which fear has been holding back! We can be addicted to just about anything we do!
